Patrick J. Yuran

Founder of The Nova Discovery Experience:

Patrick J. Yuran is a veteran educator, entrepreneur, and visionary leader with over 25 years of experience in academic leadership, program creation, and organizational development. Currently serving as the Head of School at Oak Mountain Academy, he has transformed learning environments to prepare students for college, industry, and careers of the future, while fostering teacher engagement and innovation.

Mr. Yuran’s expertise spans consulting, curriculum development, strategic planning, fund development, and accreditation across private and public schools, colleges, universities, and corporate organizations in Washington D.C., Montana, Maryland, and Georgia. He has successfully grown mission-driven communities, securing millions in funding while establishing programs that combine academic rigor with real-world skills.

An accomplished artist and entrepreneur, Mr. Yuran is the founder and Artistic Director of The REAL Theatre, a not-for-profit organization committed to the creation of performing arts experiences in the pursuit of community connection and discovery; owner of PJ Productions, a company committed to producing live art that provides opportunity and impowers community; owner of PM Retreat Properties, a commercial real estate business; and he is also the founder and President of PJY Consulting, supporting schools, universities, and arts organizations in strategic planning, program development, and marketing.

With degrees in Theatre and Education, along with certifications in Educational Leadership, International Baccalaureate, and Georgia P–12 teaching, Mr. Yuran combines creative vision with educational expertise. His experience and entrepreneurial spirit uniquely qualify him to establish the The Nova Discovery Experience, an innovative framework that empowers students to shine and teachers to lead as creators of discovery.
